The adult form of one of the Royal Family members.

The Royal Family are the rulers of the Monster Kingdom. They kill off each other when they are young until there is one left standing, who will mature and become the next ruler. The reason for this is because once they mature, they become immortal Phoenixes, so they kill each other before they become immortal.

Members

There are nine siblings in the Royal Family introduced so far (eldest to youngest):

  • Fuhito (the survivor from the previous generation who went into dormancy and revived in the current war for the throne)
  • Duken (a Royal from the previous generation, killed by Fuhito and turned into an android; as an android he was destroyed by Riza)
  • Sylvia
  • Gilliam (status unknown, most likely deceased due to infection by alien microbes)
  • Salieri (Deceased, died when his assassination attempt on Lillianne went wrong)
  • Emile (killed by chronic illness)
  • Severin (killed by Lillianne in a duel)
  • Lillianne
  • Sherwood

Members of the Royal Family are all given androids/gynoids depending on their gender. The female members get gynoids while the males get androids. The androids/gynoids will self-destruct when master dies.

Some Royals have telekinetic ability like Emile and Fuhito; they can also unlock the phoenix-flame form in which they can turn their bodies into the holy flames of the phoenix.

Blood Warriors

By making them drink their blood (Flame of Life, in anime) , they resurrect the dead worthy enough to be their half-immortal "Blood Warriors." The blood warriors have to keep drinking the Royals' blood every few days, or they will die forever, and cannot be resurrected again. It is very rare for a member of the Royal Family to have a human or a vampire as a blood warrior, and can be to some very shocking. They are not allowed to resurrect someone they have killed themselves, nor are they allowed to have an army, however this was occasionally broken.

  • Hiro, Hime's blood warrior, a human. Currently leveled up to a flame warrior.
  • Madeleine, the Mermaid.Emile's Blood Warrior. Later becomes Sylvia's blood warrior after the death of Emile. Receives the flame of life from Emile through Keziah and becomes a flame warrior after Sylvia abandons her.
  • Mikasa, killed by Severin, then revived as a Blood Warrior by him, despite the rules. Later became Sylvia's Blood Warrior after Severin's death, suggested by the Fly Man. Human, but with a parasite nano-weapon implanted in her head by the Fly Man. After Sylvia abandons her she lost her status as a blood warrior, relying on Trioxin to survive.
  • Kiniski, Sylvia's blood warrior, a vampire. Sylvia killed him with an ash stake through the heart, but in the process her hand was pricked and some of her blood accidentally got into Kiniski's wound, resurrecting him. He bonded Sylvia with leather straps, gaged her, and connected a valve to her arm so that he could drink her blood. He didn't believe that he need Sylvia's blood to survive and died due to the lack of royal blood after Sylvia escaped. Nicknamed "Werewolf Killer Kiniski".
  • Ryu Ryu, Sherwood's blood warrior (not a blood warrior in the anime). A panda from the zoo that accidentally strangled himself playing with a rubber tire.

Flame Warriors

Once a royal have matured to point and obtained the ability to use phoenix fire, they can upgrade their Blood Warrior into a Flame Warrior, removing the requirement to drink his/her master's blood every few days and obtaining the ability to use minor/weaker phoenix fire.
